The Drop 4.0 Shorts seem thoughtfully designed for enduro riding but as a casual mountain biker I found the sizing runs small with no pockets and signs of wear quickly appeared so while they're a reasonable option for enduro riders more casual riders may want something more versatile and durable.

I've been riding with the new Drop shorts for a few weeks and they seem pretty well made and comfortable, they're durable and dry quickly which is great for long rides, the stretch fabric moves well while pedaling, the chamois pad is comfy, and the pockets are handy for small items, the velcro waist helps get a good fit dialed in, I'd give them a solid 3 out of 5 stars as an experienced rider looking for something to handle aggressive trail riding.

These enduro shorts are pretty decent for the price but run small and have shallow pockets, overall they're good for gravity riding once you get the sizing dialed.
